After studying theatre, film and media sciences as well as art history, Verena draws her inspiration from the past and contemporary „savoir vivre“. Her work is characterized by borrowings from art and culture and often goes back on literary quotations.

Verena ́s photography focuses on narratives of freedom and independence, portraying strong personalities and the diversity of the world. The protagonists of her pictures have a path behind as well as ahead of them. This makes them the main characters in a story that is supposed to write history itself.
